Mission Statement

Tapawingo Day Care will operate as an inclusive child care facility dedicated to the care of young children aged 18 months to 12 years old.

Recognizing the uniqueness of each child and respecting their diverse needs and individual stages of development, our staff will work together with parents and the community to provide a positive learning environment.

Through educational, social and play experiences as well as the guidance of specially trained staff each child will be exposed to situations planned to stimulate and enhance:

1. Curiosity, initiative and independence;
2. Self-esteem and decision making capabilities;
3. Interaction with and respect for others;
4. Physical activity developing gross motor skills;
5. Communication skills; and
6. Fine motor development

Programs will be re-evaluated regularly to reflect changes within the CCEYA (Childcare Early Years Act) and ideologies of early childhood education and enhancement.
